Ten innovative FinTech companies, including SizeUp, presented their software solutions to an exclusive audience of financial service and global banking decision-makers at the SWIFT Innotribe Startup Challenge in New York City. The ten companies were selected by over 500 judges from across the financial, technology, and investment communities, including a number of SWIFT representatives. The judges evaluated 370 worldwide startups under consideration for participation in the global program. Winning the New York City Startup Challenge results in the FinTech startup being selected to present on the main stage at Sibos in Singapore in October.

The Financial Brand article, 3 Critical Fintech Innovation Trends in Banking, highlights the three powerful technology trends impacting banks and financial services: smart wearables, small businesses, and crowdfunding. According to the article, “innovators in financial services see huge untapped potential in the small business segment. However, meeting these needs may require banks to think beyond what they provide today.” SizeUp is identified as a fintech company addressing the important trend of serving small businesses and empowering financial institutions to better serve their business customers. The Credit Union Times article “Sizing Up Small Business Lending” discusses how credit unions are in an ideal position to benefit from SizeUp FI because they need scalable solutions to serve their small business customers. According to the article, “Solutions such as these are timely since credit union members will soon have greater access to capital to start or expand a small business, due to a joint initiative between the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the NCUA.”

The CEOs of Beyond the Arc and William Mills Agency discussed the highlights of emerging financial technology in a video from Silicon Valley during the first day of the Finovate Summit.
